The Killer Behind The Scream Mask
A True Halloween Crime Story.
At about 12.30am Halloween night, a red G-registered Ford Escort was parked on Holland street, Radcliffe in Greater Manchester. Wearing a white sheet that covered the neck down to the legs and a horrifying Scream mask, the driver walked out of the car and headed to the property of Diana Lomax.
With a sawn-off shotgun hiding beneath the white sheet, the intruder began banging the front door of Diana Lomax’s home.
When the homeowner refused to answer the door, the banging continued. The noise got the attention of Diana Lomax’s neighbor, a 43-year old former soldier named Bob Wilkie.
Bob came out of his home to investigate where the banging was coming from. In front of his neighbor’s home, he saw the ghost-like figure banging furiously at the door. “keep the noise down.” he said to his neighbor’s intruder.
The figure turned to him and said “Go back inside and mind your own Business.”
Bob went on to meet with the intruder, demanding that the intruder should take off the mask. When the intruder refused, he reached out to pull the mask. As he began pulling the mask, the intruder pulled out the shotgun and fired at Bob on the stomach.
